Ken joined the Canadian Army in 1942. Hewas a despatch rider in the Signal Corps at the 3rd Divisional Headquarters. He met his wife in Richmond during 1943. He was stationed at Aldershot and Leatherhead. He married Doreen a week before he was posted to Belgium. He served in Holland and Germany. He returned to Canada in December 1945. He was reunited with his mother after his brither Ronald was killed in Hong Kong. She saw Ken listed as his next of kin and wrote to him. Ken died of bone cancer after a short illness on December 13th 1992.
